The internet is a wonderful resource for helping you to learn German. Each week, I will collect links to videos, online practice activities and games that deal with the material we are learning. Please note: although I strongly recommend visiting as many of these links as you can, they are not required for your course grade. If you feel that you are learning the material well with simply the textbook exercises, great! These links are for you to find extra practice and help when the textbook and required materials don't do enough for you.
First, remember that our Quizlet page has vocabulary flashcards specifically for our textbook, which can help you a lot with spelling, memorization and learning the new phrases we encounter each week. You do not have to create a Quizlet account to practice, although it is free to do so and it might help you keep track of your progress. Visit our Quizlet page and see if the flashcards are useful for your style of learning!

You may also wish to explore some of the free online 'courses' or sites that provide a multitude of ways to augment your learning. Many students report that these three sites can be a big help to provide explanations and practice for learning German. I cannot link directly to activities on these sites because you must create a free account to access their material. Feel free to try them out, and if you do find them useful, please let me know!
• Website: Duolingo (https://www.duolingo.com/) is a structured learning course which many students love. It does not follow our textbook exactly, but the basic material does correspond to what we learn in class.
• Website: Busuu (https://www.busuu.com/enc/) is similar to DuoLingo, but has a bigger worldwide audience with many helpful users and administrators. Feel free to try it out.
• Website: Babbel (https://www.babbel.com/) is another free online practice site, which simply walks through many of the same topics we learn in class. No registration is required, but ads will frustrate you unless you create an account.
